Introduction Edit

Edwin Phease is a student living in Lower Hutt, who came to prominence in the Go world when, at age 6, he was joint winner of the Handicap Section of the 2002 New Zealand Go Championship. He was 4th dan on KGS - the highest rank of any player living in the Wellington region.

Progress Edit

He placed second in the 2007 Wellington Open and paired with his mother, Yucong Phease, at the 17th International Amateur Pair Go Championship. He placed third equal in the 2009 Wellington Open.
